Made of red sandalwood, this bed is fitted with a mat on the surface. Below the surface, a wasp-waisted structure joins the outwardly curved legs with hoof-like ends with the bed. The surface is encircled with screen railings on three sides. The wasp-waist and the area below it are adorned with lotus seedpod motifs in relief. The legs and feet are densely engraved with lotus patterns, with the screens adorned with openwork carvings of lotus seedpod motifs.

Openwork carving techniques are used in the creation of the bed, joining motifs together and forming a whole unit. The engraved lotus flowers are thriving with lush branches and leaves, giving a lifelike feel and contrasting nicely with the hardness of the wood. It's no exaggeration to say that the work is made of excellent material and superb craftsmanship.
