The History of Chinese Science by Dr. Joseph Needham mentioned Tangram as "one of the oldest Oriental entertainments", Japanese magazine of  Mathematical Science called Chinese Sliding Block as the "one of the three large incredible puzzles" and intelligent master Martin Gardener from the United States believes that the renowned western intelligence toy of "Donkey Magic" inspired from Chinese "Four People Toy".
