Ancient China has very rich game culture and Chinese traditional puzzles once influenced greatly the world.

Chinese classic puzzles, such as the Nine Connected Rings, Tangram, Chinese Sliding Block, Six-piece Burr Puzzle, Four People Toy, etc. combine mathematics and games perfectly, thus has a unique function of intellectual development. Westerners collectively referred them as the "Chinese puzzles ", which involves geometry, topology, operations research, and other subjects in math. The History of Chinese Science by Dr. Joseph Needham mentioned Tangram as "one of the oldest Oriental entertainments", Japanese magazine of  Mathematical Science called Chinese Sliding Block as the "one of the three large incredible puzzles" and intelligent master Martin Gardener from the United States believes that the renowned western intelligence toy of "Donkey Magic" inspired from Chinese "Four People Toy".
