Bean curd has a long history in China. It is no exaggeration to say that bean curd is a special product of Chinese civilization. There are a lot of soybean products in China: bean curd, fried bean curd, dried bean curd, soybean milk films, dried bean curd cream sheets and soybean residues etc. All these products are ideal ingredients for gourmet dishes with distinctive flavors. Soybean milk is also a wonderful food.

Bean curd is usually made into a wide variety of delicacies, such as "bean curd salad" with sesame oil and tender leaves and stems of Chinese toon, stir-fried "chicken smashed bean curd" involving mashed bean curd, eggs and spring onions, and famous Sichuan dishes like "bean curd in oyster sauce", "Mapo Tofu" (Sichuan home style tofu) and "bean curd in chilli sauce" etc.

In addition, various bean curd byproducts are made into all kinds of snacks, such as oily bean curd and rice noodle soup, spiced dried bean curd, sautéed bean curd, pungent dried bean curd, hardened processed bean curd and jellied bean curd etc.
