Saqima is a kind of pastry loved by Manchurian people, and its making method is as follows: the makers firstly mix the flour and egg into noodles, then fry them and then blend them with sugar syrup, after this step, they are put in moulds to form a block and then the block is cut into small pieces. Saqima tastes sweet but not greasy, and it is really crisp and palatable. After the imperial court of the Qing Dynasty moved its capital to Beijing, a lot of Manchurian settled in this city, so the making method of Saqima spread out and later on Saqima was accepted by both Han and Man nationalities in Beijing. |
