The Capturing Skills of Shaolin Kung-fu
The capturing skill is the key to subdue the enemy when lighting hand-in-hand. It can get the enemy dizzy, or maimed, or even dead on the spot. That's why the Shaolin master monks pass on this skill very carefully to their disciples. It stresses sharp eyes and quick hands movement. It demands nimble action and sudden inspiration. The techniques of dodging, tumbling, elbowing, and wresting are popularly used by Shaolin guard monks. To press the 20 key points of the body is the secret capturing skill of Shaolin Kung-fu, of which ear root and temple are the most important. If one fastens the enemy's lower jaw with one hand and press the sunken position of his ear root with the thumb, the enemy will get dizzy very fast. If one fastens the enemy's forehead with one hand, and press bis temple with the thumb, middle and forefingers, the enemy will get faint soon.
